Tee shots should favour the left half of the fairway from the tee. With the prevailing wind coming from behind, yardage control must be accurate on the approach shot. The 8th tee provides another wonderful perch point for pondering and perusing this pie-chart panorama. Note how the striding sea dyke patrols the cusp of land and sea, as if under military orders to the east and demob-happy to the west.
A similarly vast landscape of grand open scale as from the 6th tee, but the slightly more eastern aspect and the Graplin lodges once more coming into view imparting a feeling of impending return on the cards, back from the wilds, landward not seaward.
Plumes of white feathers drift and dot the fairway here too, so pretty, like scattered pearls in the sunlight.
Near the green, two craws really were sat on the bit of old wa’. One craw cawed and they both flew awa’.
