A good par 3.Tee shots should be aimed at the left half of the green to take the water and the Out of Bounds out of play.The contours of the green will also bring the ball down from here. A complete environmental and experiential contrast to the 8th, this compact little hole with its elevated pulpit of a tee needs only a wing and a prayer to avoid the gorse for a hole in one! Nature brings rainbow colours here whatever time of year – the yellow and green of the gorse, the creamy white of the hawthorn blossom and the vivid red of the consequential haws, the grey-green of the lichens on dyke and branch.
